Tashkent, Uzbekistan – On December 29, the President of Uzbekistan visited the site of the ongoing construction for the new, state-of-the-art campus of New Uzbekistan University. During the visit, detailed presentations were made regarding the university's expansion plans, which will see the campus developed in three phases. The first phase of the construction is scheduled for completion and operational use by 2026.
The new university campus, set to occupy an expansive 50-hectare area, will feature a total of 16 buildings, providing modern facilities and infrastructure to support the growing academic and research needs of the university. The campus is designed to become one of the largest and most modern educational institutions in the Central Asian region, reinforcing New Uzbekistan University’s role as a leading center for higher education and innovation.
In addition to academic buildings, the development plan includes the construction of dormitories with a capacity of 4,000 beds, ensuring comfortable living spaces for students. Two residential buildings with 286 apartments will also be built for professors and faculty members, providing them with quality accommodation on campus.
This ambitious project will not only enhance the educational experience for students but also contribute significantly to the local economy, offering modern housing and world-class facilities for both students and faculty.
With these plans in place, New Uzbekistan University is poised to become a hub of academic excellence, research, and innovation, offering students from Uzbekistan and beyond a world-class environment to thrive.
