Professor Kakhramon Yusupov is an economist and academic leader with extensive experience in higher education, public policy, economic research, and institutional management. He currently serves as Professor in the Department of Economics at New Uzbekistan University, where he contributes to academic leadership, teaching, research, and the development of the Economics Department.
He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Vanderbilt University, USA, specializing in Public Finance and Econometrics, and has more than two decades of experience spanning universities, government institutions, international organizations, and research projects.
His professional career includes senior academic and leadership positions at New Uzbekistan University, Central Asian University, the Fiscal Institute under the Tax Committee of Uzbekistan, Westminster International University in Tashkent, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. He has also worked with the World Bank, UNDP, International Monetary Fund, and Central Bank of Uzbekistan, contributing to economic analysis, social protection policy, forecasting, public finance, and evidence-based policymaking.
