A group of talented Engineering students from New Uzbekistan University (NewUU) have successfully completed the GLOBEX 2025 program at Peking University — ranked 13th among the world’s top universities. This remarkable achievement reflects NewUU’s commitment to preparing globally competitive specialists who can excel in both academic and professional arenas.
The three-week program combined intensive academic study with immersive cultural experiences. Under the guidance of leading professors and experts, students deepened their knowledge in Applied Analysis for Engineering Sciences, gaining fresh perspectives on how engineering theory is applied in real-world contexts.
Beyond the classroom, participants explored China’s rich history, cultural heritage, and technological achievements. Their itinerary included visits to:
The Juyongguan section of the Great Wall of China — a marvel of ancient engineering
The Ming Tombs — a UNESCO World Heritage site
Iconic 2008 Beijing Olympic venues — the “Bird’s Nest” National Stadium and the “Water Cube” Aquatics Center
The Temple of Heaven — a masterpiece of Ming Dynasty architecture
The Confucius Temple — a place honoring one of the greatest philosophers in history
The GLOBEX program is renowned for offering students global exposure, hands-on experience, and cross-cultural engagement. By working alongside peers from around the world, NewUU students built valuable academic networks and developed skills essential for leadership in the modern engineering industry.
This opportunity is yet another step toward NewUU’s mission of becoming a flagship university in Uzbekistan, providing students with access to world-class education and preparing them to contribute meaningfully to society at home and abroad.
