Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement the university’s IT strategy in alignment with institutional goals.
Lead and manage the IT department, including infrastructure, systems, networks, and support services.
Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems and digital platforms.
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of software systems, including internal web services and academic platforms.
Manage IT budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships.
Establish and enforce IT policies, standards, and best practices.
Ensure data protection, cybersecurity measures, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Support teaching, learning, and research through innovative technology solutions.
Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify and address IT needs.
Lead digital transformation and innovation initiatives across the university.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements for efficiency and user satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in IT management, preferably in higher education or a similar environment.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience managing budgets and external vendors is an advantage.
