An online meeting was held on the use of the scientific electronic database Scopus The following points were discussed in a meeting held between the representatives of New Uzbekistan University and the Scopus organization: Creating a university page in the scientific electronic database Scopus; Publishing articles with a high impact factor; Analytical analysis of university activities; Cooperation in areas such as ensuring international recognition of the university. Program information: 23,100 scientific research institutes from 234 countries are currently using the SciVal program offered by the Scopus organization to New Uzbekistan University. This program will make it possible to strengthen the scientific research activities of New Uzbekistan University in the future.
Representatives of New Uzbekistan University held a meeting with authorities from the Uzbekistan textile and garment industry association. For information: The association was established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PF-5285 dated December 14, 2017, currently hosts nearly 2 thousand industry enterprises. At the meeting, the parties agreed to implement the following three programs. Program 1 — Student Internships. Details of the first program: – The students of the Mechanical Engineering department will have a chance to secure internships in large companies producing products such as cotton fiber, yarn, and gauze; –The students of the Chemical and Advanced Materials Engineering department will have the opportunity of securing internships in yarn, gauze, and fabric dyeing companies; –The students of the Industrial Management department will have an opportunity to secure internships in the association. Program 2 — Joint Research. This program will be organized along the following stages: – The association will hold a presentation about the industry for university students; – Research groups consisting of professors and students of the University, specialists of the Association, and industrial enterprises will be established; – Research will be organized aimed at reducing the cost of products by improving the production processes of industrial enterprises, as well as Implementing digital transformation in the industry. Program 3 — Organizing vocational training for creativity school students. Students interested in design and studying at the creativity schools under the Agency for Presidential Educational Institutions will work with software used to create clothing designs. Future plans include a prodution systemI based on the designs created by students. The parties agreed to sign a cooperation agreement on the programs in the near future.
NEW UZBEKISTAN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ARE AT THE INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CONFERENCE A group of students of New Uzbekistan University took part in the RENPOWER UZBEKISTAN-2022 international energy conference held in Tashkent. The conference organized by Euroconvention Global gathered more than ten experts from large international companies and organizations in Tashkent. Among them are such great companies as TrinaSolar, Recom technologies, Jenbacher, Jinko Solar, and Elsewedy Electric.
The main goal of the conference is to further develop renewable energy technologies in Uzbekistan, guarantee energy security in the region in the future, and increase the share of alternative energy types.
