Course in Pre-University (CPU)
The Course in Pre-University (CPU) is designed for those who plan to study at New Uzbekistan University in Tashkent (NEWUU). The main purpose of the CPU is to improve the English and Mathematics skills of future entrants to NEWUU.

Aims of the course
The CPU Levels 1 and 2 are designed as a study program to prepare students for entry to the first year of undergraduate studies at NewUU. At the end of the course, students should take internationally recognized IELTS and SAT tests.
Therefore, in designing the course, consideration is given to prepare students to get high scores from the IELTS and SAT tests. Considerable formative assessment and mock tests will be undertaken and regular feedback given to the students.
The main aims of the CPU course:
- - to give students the necessary English and Mathematical knowledge which is essential for entry to the first year of undergraduate studies at NEWUU
- - to prepare students to get high scores from the IELTS and SAT tests
- - to foster a positive attitude to learning and to give students a foundation to survive in an academic environment
- - Demonstrating a general knowledge and understanding in the areas of Use of English and Numeracy
- - English equivalent to B2 (CEFR)
- - Level of Mathematics sufficient to cope with all the requirements of the first year of undergraduate studies at NEWUU
Required documents for online application form
1. Photo (3.5×4.5 cm)
Your photo must be:
• In color
• 3.5 x 4.5 cm in size
• Taken within the last 3 months to reflect your current appearance
• Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
• With a neutral facial expression – both eyes open, ears and shoulders seen
• Taken in clothing that you normally wear on a daily basis
2. Passport/ID card or copy of birth certificate (a scanned version)
• Only 1 file - one file must include main page with residence permit page (for passport);
both sides (for ID card and Birth certificate)
3. IELTS Certificate or its following equivalents (if available)
