Revolutionizing Power Generation: Innovative Method Boosts Electricity Output by 6.26%

Sh. Abdullaev, a prominent researcher in chemical engineering and materials science at New Uzbekistan University, has demonstrated the possibility of increasing electricity generation by 6.26%.

His article on the topic "Exergy and environmental analysis of a novel turbine inlet air cooling technique for power augmentation in a CCPP based on waste energy" has been published in the Chemosphere journal.

In this paper, a new method for improving the efficiency of electricity generation in power stations is proposed. It involves utilizing the waste heat from flue gases to cool the inlet air of a gas turbine, thereby increasing the overall efficiency of the combined cycle power plant (CCPP). Through this method, a 6.26% increase in electricity production is achieved in gas-fired power plants.

For information: Chemosphere is an international journal that encompasses research related to environmental and engineering sciences. Currently, it ranks among the top 10% of the 43,000 scientific journals in terms of reputation.
