Central Asia Universities Forum

The largest Central Asia Universities Forum, organized by Times Higher Education, recently concluded at New Uzbekistan University, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of higher education in the region.

Recognizing Excellence

The forum saw participation from 300 attendees, including nearly 200 foreign experts from 20 countries such as the USA, China, Germany, South Korea, and the UK. Phil Baty, Chief Global Affairs Officer at Times Higher Education, acknowledged New Uzbekistan University as a rapidly developing young university, highlighting its achievements and potential.

Diverse Participation

The event also welcomed around 60 leaders from international educational organizations and representatives from 97 foreign universities. This diverse gathering provided a unique platform for networking and collaboration among higher education institutions worldwide.

Engaging Panel Sessions

The forum's agenda included panel sessions on pressing issues in higher education, such as:

- Reputation, Attraction, and Retention: Strategies for young universities to enhance their appeal.
- Innovating the Curriculum: Aligning educational programs with labor market demands in Central Asia.
- Elevating Central Asian Universities for Global Impact: Discussing the future directions and strategies for regional universities to gain global recognition.
- New Partnership Models for New Models of Institution: Exploring innovative partnership models to strengthen educational institutions.

These sessions were characterized by lively discussions and Q&A sessions, fostering an exchange of ideas and best practices among participants.
