Course Description

Our department offers knowledge of intelligent systems, information processing with neural networks, and mass data analyzing via theoretical disciplines and applied disciplines. For the theoretical disciplines, it includes neural network structure and related algorithms, pattern recognitions, computer vision, and information theory. Whereas applied disciplines, including the design and implementation with software/hardware. Each discipline is extended to the way of programming, and hardware implementation. Based on developed AI algorithms and its applications, artificial intelligence and machine learning have become the main part of computer science, engineering, and social science as well. The AI area will become the frontier to promote human life and industry together.

Course Structure

Learning takes place through a combination of face-to-face teaching and independent study, including lectures, practical tutorials, laboratory sessions, personal development sessions, real-life project briefs and case studies.

Students study 60 ECTS credits per year. The structure of the course is a subject to change by feedback received from a variety of sources.

    Fees and funding:

    Tuition Fee:

    38,000,000 UZS per year

There are five types of funding:

    1. Merit based scholarship - merit based scholarships are given on a competition basis for local students who get high scores in the entrance examination. This scholarship is given for owing to each academic program for 1 year ONLY (for 1st year) according to the following scheme.

    Merit Scholarship Percentage
Top 10% of the announced quota 100% scholarship
The following 10% of the announced quota 70% scholarship
The following 15% of the announced quota 50% scholarship

    2. Academic scholarship - every year (for 2nd, 3rd, 4th years), academic scholarships are given on a competition basis for local students who get high scores from all taught courses in ONE academic year in each program.

Based on the scores from all taught courses in ONE academic year, the percentage of scholarship for a student is a subject to change every year (for 2nd, 3rd, 4th years). It means that every year (for 2nd, 3rd, 4th years), the percentage of academic scholarship for a student may increase or decrease or cancelled based on student’s academic performance. If academic scholarship is cancelled due to student’s low academic performance, the student will automatically be placed in the list of students studying based on a tuition fee.

In addition, even contract basis students have an opportunity to get academic scholarship if they show high academic performance from all taught courses in ONE academic year

Students who are admitted on contract basis (in the 1st year) have a chance to be placed in the list of academic scholarship students if they show high academic performance during the following years.

Therefore, all scholarship and contract basis students must study hard and compete with each other to get academic scholarship. This scholarship is given according to the following scheme.

    Academic Scholarship Percentage
Top 10% of academic performing students 100% scholarship
The following 10% of academic performing students 70% scholarship
