Professor from Freie Universität Berlin Delivers Insightful Lecture on East European Migration and U.S. Political Economy

New Uzbekistan University recently hosted an engaging lecture on “East European Big Bangs and Political Economy of the United States” by Dr. Theocharis Grigoriadis, a distinguished professor from the Freie Universität Berlin, ranked 104th in the world.

The lecture, which drew students, faculty, and researchers, focused on the mass migration from Eastern Europe to the United States between 1850 and 1940 and its profound influence on American political and cultural life. Dr. Grigoriadis provided a compelling analysis of how this migration shaped U.S. elections and political structures, offering historical insights with modern-day relevance.

Dr. Grigoriadis, a Yale University graduate with a PhD from the University of California, is a recognized expert in political economy, economic history, and comparative economic systems. He has authored numerous books and research articles in these fields.
