“Bridging Borders: Developing German-Uzbek Academia and Industry Collaboration” International Forum Held at NewUU

The “Bridging Borders: Developing German-Uzbek Academia and Industry Collaboration” international forum was held at New Uzbekistan University, bringing together representatives from leading universities, research institutions, and major industrial enterprises of both countries.

This forum served as a continuation of the First International Education Symposium, organized in Munich in April 2024 by NewUU and TUM International GmbH, as well as the ongoing efforts of the International Industry Advisory Board at NewUU.

The event brought together more than 20 foreign organizations and over 60 local institutions, including industrial companies, sectoral associations, academic institutions, research centers, and international partner organizations.

Showcasing German and Uzbek industries, sharing best practices, and exploring avenues for collaboration;
Enhancing academic programs and workforce training in line with modern industrial demands;
Creating opportunities for student internships and employment in international companies;
Developing innovative solutions to industrial challenges through joint research projects.

Outcomes of the Forum:

Agreements were reached to:
Strengthen cooperation between German and Uzbek industries;
Apply international best practices to drive academic development;
Expand international internship and career opportunities for students and young professionals;
Conduct joint research projects with German companies to tackle pressing industry challenges;
Further enhance the global reputation of NewUU as a hub for education–science–industry integration.

The Forum laid a strong foundation for future partnerships between Uzbekistan and Germany’s academic and industrial communities, reaffirming NewUU’s role as a leading international platform for collaboration and innovation.
