The Double Degree Master of Science in Computational Data Science (M.Sc. CODS) is a flagship graduate program jointly delivered by Khalifa University (UAE) and New Uzbekistan University (Uzbekistan). The M.S. in Computational Data Science is a one-year, thesis-based master’s program which requires students to complete total of 60 ECTS. The 60 ECTS are divided into 24 ECTS of program core, 18 ECTS of electives and 18 ECTS of master thesis.The Fall semester is conducted in person at Khalifa University, while the Spring semester is conducted in person at New Uzbekistan University.

Master’s Thesis
Students conduct original research under joint supervision from both universities.
Requirements:
The thesis integrates advanced methodology with real-world or research-driven applications, strengthening both industry readiness and doctoral competitiveness.

Entry requirements
Educational Background
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of 4.0, or equivalent (e.g. an upper second-class honors in a UK-style degree, from a reputable accredited institution).
Minimum English Proficiency
English Proficiency Exemption
A graduate from an English-medium institution who can provide evidence of acquiring a minimum IELTS score of 6.0, or a minimum TOEFL iBT score of 79, at the time of admission to the completed Bachelor’s degree program.
Referee Recommendations
A minimum of two referee recommendations (recommendation letters should be sent to admission@newuu.uz)
Statement of Purpose
Statement of purpose (500-1,000 words).
The Statement of Purpose should clearly outline the applicant’s motivations for wishing to pursue graduate studies at Khalifa University and New Uzbekistan University, as well as any prior achievements that will demonstrate promise for success in their degree. It is recommended that prospective students include the following information in their Statement of Purpose:
● An introduction about yourself, your interests and your motivations.
● The reasons for applying to your chosen graduate program.
● What you hope to gain during your studies and any specific issues you wish to address.
● Your professional aspirations and how you think this qualification will help you achieve them.
