A Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence, FinTech and Financial Markets” by Dr. Botir Kobilov, Professor at the University of Texas and Harvard Business School PhD graduate, was held at New Uzbekistan University

From December 22 to 24, New Uzbekistan University hosted an intensive academic workshop dedicated to the intersection of artificial intelligence, FinTech, and financial markets. The event was jointly organized by the Young Economists Society of Uzbekistan (YESU) and the university.

The workshop attracted strong interest: more than 165 applicants applied, and only 25 participants were selected through a competitive selection process.

The sessions were led by Dr. Botir Kobilov, Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas and a PhD graduate of Harvard Business School.

During the workshop, participants gained in-depth knowledge on:

the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning in financial markets;
the transition from traditional econometric models to data-driven approaches;
market forecasting, risk management, and efficiency;
the role of FinTech in shaping modern financial systems.
Representatives from ALOQA Bank, APEX Bank, TBC Bank, Uzcard Academy, and other financial institutions also actively took part in the event.

As part of the workshop, a live podcast session on “AI, FinTech & Financial Markets” was held, during which Dr. Botir Kobilov shared insights and engaged in discussion on how artificial intelligence is transforming the financial sector.
