Today, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, visited the construction site of the new campus of New Uzbekistan University, currently being developed in the New Tashkent area.

The Head of State emphasized that the campus and the educational processes to be established there should serve as a model for all higher education institutions in the country, and underlined that the 2026–2027 academic year should begin at this very campus.

The campus is planned to become one of the largest university complexes not only in Uzbekistan but across the region. During the first phase, it will include:

academic buildings for the School of Engineering and the School of Economics and Management,
modern research laboratories,
a large artificial intelligence–focused data center,
as well as internationally recognized laboratories operating at the regional level.
Educational activities will be organized in cooperation with the University’s strategic partners — Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Technical University of Munich — and will fully comply with global academic standards.

Through this campus, New Uzbekistan University aims to become a leading research and education hub, preparing highly qualified specialists capable of advancing the country’s economy into a new technological era across all sectors.
