A Roundtable Discussion on Advancing Higher Education, Science, and Innovation Held at New Uzbekistan University

The event brought together representatives of ministries, government agencies, and the Presidential Administration to discuss systemic, state-level challenges in the higher education sector. During the session, participants listened to proposals, insights, and initiatives put forward by professors and academic experts, followed by an exchange of views on approaches aimed at addressing these issues at the national level.

Key areas of discussion included the preparation of PhD-level researchers capable of operating in the international academic environment, expansion of global partnerships, support for innovation and startup initiatives, and the development of specialists in artificial intelligence and quantum technologies. Participants also emphasized the importance of strengthening the integration between higher education and industry, improving the grant system, and reducing bureaucratic barriers within it.

It was further noted that the volume of resources allocated to the education sector continues to grow steadily, with a strong commitment to prioritizing the support of the most advanced ideas and projects.

The roundtable served as an important platform for dialogue aimed at enhancing scientific capacity, advancing innovative approaches, and developing practical solutions to existing systemic challenges in higher education.
