An acceleration program to support startups has been launched at New Uzbekistan University

On March 26, a “Leadership and Youth Dialogue” dedicated to the development of the startup ecosystem took place at New Uzbekistan University.

During the event, Bobur Khodjayev, Head of the Department for Financial Technologies, Digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence at the Presidential Administration, and Bahodir Ahmedov, First Vice-Rector of the university, delivered remarks. They emphasized the importance of supporting youth-driven innovation and highlighted the role of higher education institutions in fostering startup ecosystems.

The meeting brought together representatives of ministries and organizations, leading companies from the banking and industrial sectors, as well as delegates from other higher education institutions. During the roundtable discussion, participants explored the needs and perspectives of young people, while students presented innovative projects in artificial intelligence, financial technologies, and agriculture.

As part of the event, cooperation memorandums were signed between New Uzbekistan University, SQB Bank, SQB Ventures, and Hayot Bank. These agreements aim to strengthen university–industry collaboration and support student-led startups.

The meeting served as an important platform for young innovators to present their ideas to industry experts and partners, as well as to establish promising collaborations.
