In accordance with the relevant Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bahodir Bobomurodovich Ahmedov has been appointed as the Rector of “New Uzbekistan” University.
Bahodir Ahmedov, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, graduated from the National University of Uzbekistan, later pursued his master’s studies at the University of Granada in Spain, and completed his doctoral studies at RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
Throughout his academic and professional career, Bahodir Ahmedov served as a professor at INHA University in Tashkent and, since 2021, has been effectively contributing to the development of “New Uzbekistan” University as Professor and First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.
In 2020, he was awarded the “Shuhrat” Medal in recognition of his dedicated service and significant contributions.
Under his initiative, strategic cooperation partnerships were established with several world-leading universities, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Technical University of Munich (TUM), Khalifa University, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). These collaborations have played an important role in strengthening the university’s international reputation, introducing modern educational programs, and creating new opportunities for students.
