New Uzbekistan University is building a regional AI collaboration cluster

A delegation from New Uzbekistan University visited Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan, to advance the development of its artificial intelligence cluster.

During the visit, the delegation held meetings at Nazarbayev University and Astana IT University, where they explored the research ecosystem, ongoing AI projects, and institutional approaches to innovation in the field.

In particular, the delegation reviewed the work of the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University, as well as the AI cluster model implemented at Astana IT University.

As a result of the visit, agreements were reached to incorporate best international practices into the development of New Uzbekistan University’s AI cluster. The sides also discussed launching joint research projects, establishing academic mobility programs for students and faculty, and organizing collaborative scientific and applied events.

This visit marks an important step toward strengthening international cooperation in artificial intelligence, science, and innovation, as well as building a modern research infrastructure at New Uzbekistan University.
