New Uzbekistan University Participates in HKUST GZ Global Partner Day Alongside the World’s Top Universities

The delegation of New Uzbekistan University is participating in the HKUST (GZ) Global Partner Day hosted by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Guangchou  (HKUST GZ), ranked 44th in the QS World University Rankings 2026.

This prestigious international platform brings together representatives from leading global institutions, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the University of Pennsylvania, and Bocconi University. It is important to highlight that cooperation between New Uzbekistan University and HKUST has been steadily developing.

In January 2026, 14 of our students successfully participated in the HKUST (GZ)  Winter RISE Week, featuring interdisciplinary projects and visits to tech leaders PONY AI, XPENG, and DJI in the  Greater Bay Area. Designed to cultivate global innovators, the Week promoted academic exchange between NewUU and HKUST (GZ) under the  Belt and Road Initiative.  

From the fall 2026, academic engagement has expanded further, with NewUU graduates joining HKUST (GZ) MPhil programs.

During the event, discussions are focused on expanding academic cooperation, strengthening student and faculty mobility, developing joint academic programs, and advancing collaborative research initiatives. New Uzbekistan University continues to deepen systematic partnerships with top ranked institutions and strengthen its presence within the international academic landscape.
