New Uzbekistan University Reaches Agreement with One of Germany’s Leading University Hospitals

A delegation from New Uzbekistan University held a meeting in Germany with Prof. Dr. h.c. Frederik Wenz, Director of Freiburg University Hospital.

Freiburg University Hospital is recognized as one of Germany’s most prestigious academic medical centers. According to the Stern 2025/26 national ranking, it was named the second-best hospital in Germany. The University of Freiburg is also ranked among the world’s top universities, placing within the top 138 institutions globally in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026.

Renowned for its advanced research and clinical excellence in oncology, neurosurgery, neurology, and transplantation medicine, Freiburg is widely regarded as one of Europe’s leading medical centers.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement to collaborate on the development of a next-generation Medical School at New Uzbekistan University based on European standards.

Through this partnership, students will gain access to Germany’s best practices in modern medical education, clinical training, simulation-based learning, and scientific research, creating new opportunities for high-quality medical education and professional development.
