Top 50 “Day of AI” Participants to Receive Professional Development Opportunity at HKUST

Today, New Uzbekistan University hosted the selection examination for teachers to participate in a professional development program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) as part of the international Day of AI initiative.

The examination brought together nearly 400 computer science teachers, selected based on their outstanding performance throughout the training program from more than 1,400 teachers who successfully completed the Day of AIartificial intelligence professional development courses.

Based on the examination results, the top 50 participants will earn the opportunity to attend a one-week international professional development program at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), ranked among the world’s Top 50 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2026.

This initiative represents another significant milestone of the Day of AI project, implemented through the collaboration of New Uzbekistan University, MIT RAISE, and the Ministry of Preschool and School Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of computer science teachers, promote international best practices, and advance high-quality AI education across Uzbekistan.
