"Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant JSC (AMMC) is the largest mining and metallurgical enterprise in Uzbekistan, located in the city of Almalyk in the Tashkent region. AMMC produces about 90% of silver and 20% of gold in the country, and is also the leading copper producer in Central Asia. ​
The main activities of AMMC:
Mining and processing of ores: The plant is engaged in the extraction and processing of copper-molybdenum, lead-zinc and gold-silver deposits located in the Tashkent, Jizzakh, Namangan and Surkhandarya regions. ​
Metallurgical production: AMMC includes several metallurgical plants producing copper, zinc and other metals. ​
Production of building materials: The plant includes the Jizzakh and Sherabad cement plants, as well as a limestone plant, which provides raw materials for the enterprise. ​"
