Biography

Professor Bobomurat J. Ahmedov is an internationally renowned theoretical physicist and astrophysicist specializing in general relativity, gravitation, and relativistic astrophysics. He currently serves as Director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics at the National University of Uzbekistan, Head of the Theoretical Astrophysics Department at the Ulugh Beg Astronomical Institute, and Editor-in-Chief of the Uzbek Journal of Physics.


A Member of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS), and the Islamic Academy of Sciences (FIAS), Prof. Ahmedov has made pioneering contributions to the understanding of black holes, neutron stars, gravitational lensing, and gravitational waves. With over 250 publications in top international journals, more than 9,500 citations, and an h-index of 53, he is among the most influential researchers in his field.


Prof. Ahmedov is also widely recognized for his leadership in international collaborations, his role in advancing astrophysical research infrastructure in Central Asia, and his mentorship of the next generation of physicists and astrophysicists.
