Entry Requirements

We welcome international students to our undergraduate and graduate programs at New Uzbekistan University (NewUU). Below are the general admission requirements.

Undergraduate entry requirements

  1. Educational background: Applicants must hold a high school diploma (secondary school, academic lyceum, or professional college), with a Notarized English translation of the diploma and academic transcripts.
  2. Minimum English proficiency: Applicants must meet one of the following: IELTS 5.5, or TOEFL iBT 46 (only TOEFL iBT taken at approved test centers is accepted; TOEFL iBT Home Edition is not accepted).

3. Interview Requirement

All international applicants are required to complete an interview with the Admissions Committee as part of the application process.

Graduate entry requirements

  1. Educational background: Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (minimum 180 ECTS credits), completed in a full-time or part-time format, with a Notarized English translation of the diploma and academic transcripts.
  2. English proficiency: Applicants must meet the minimum IELTS/TOEFL iBT score for their program (see table below). A Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate, confirming that a previous degree was taught fully in English, is also accepted in place of an IELTS/TOEFL score.

3. Interview Requirement

An online interview with the Admissions Committee is required for all international applicants to graduate programs (both one-year and two-year programs).

4. Entrance Exam Requirement

Admission requirements vary depending on the program specialization, each program has its own selection criteria. Please refer to the Master's Programs page for detailed information regarding the specific requirements of each program.

Notes

  • CEFR certificates are not accepted for double-degree programs.
  • Only TOEFL iBT tests taken at approved test centers are accepted. The TOEFL iBT Home Edition is not accepted.
