By the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Yuldashev, Vice-Rector for Innovation and Research at New Uzbekistan University, has been appointed Director of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
This appointment is a recognition of his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the development of higher education in Uzbekistan.
A Remarkable Journey at NewUU
Bakhtiyor Yuldashev joined New Uzbekistan University three years ago, when the institution was still in its early stage of development. During this time, NewUU achieved tremendous growth and transformation:
– Student body grew from 178 to 1,667
– Faculty expanded from 11 to 120 (including junior faculty)
– Staff increased from 22 to 280
– Publications in top Q1 journals rose from 4 to 774
– Scientific grants reached $3 million (from 0)
– Undergraduate programs expanded from 4 to 9
– Graduate programs grew from 0 to 6
– PhD programs developed from 0 to 11
These achievements stand as a testament to the collective hard work of the NewUU community, with Bakhtiyor Yuldashev playing a central role in guiding innovation, research, and academic growth.
