Dr. Sergey V. Popov is an applied microeconomic theorist specializing in industrial organization, economics of education, and the economics of academia. He is currently a full-time professor in the Department of Economics. His work combines theoretical research with academic teaching and institutional service, including organizing seminar series and contributing to academic committees. He has an extensive publication record in leading economic journals and is actively involved in editorial work, including serving as an editor for PLOS One.
