New Uzbekistan University offers Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) programmes in the following disciplines. These programmes comply with local Uzbek requirements and can be pursued either full-time or part-time as an independent researcher.

Doctoral (DSc) Applicants

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
A national or internationally recognized certificate confirming English language proficiency at B2 level or above, in accordance with the procedure established by legislation. This requirement does not apply to applicants who have completed their Bachelor’s and/or Master’s education entirely in English, provided they hold the relevant supporting document.
At least three scientific articles published following the defense of the PhD dissertation, of which at least two must be published in journals indexed in the Scopus scientific bibliographic database.
At least two conference papers published in the proceedings of international or national scientific conferences.

Independent Researcher — Doctor of Science (DSc)

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

A Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
Research achievements following the defense of the PhD dissertation, including:
- At least three scientific articles, of which at least two must be published in journals indexed in the Q1 or Q2 quartile of the Scopus or Web of Science scientific bibliographic databases.
- At least two conference papers published in the proceedings of international or national scientific conferences.

Full-time Applicants:

Statement.
CV.
Copy of the work book (employee record book), certified in the prescribed manner (for working applicants).
Copy of the diploma of a Candidate of Science, Ph.D., or an equivalent degree obtained abroad.
Scientific report on the research topic and a detailed draft of the dissertation plan.
List of published scientific articles and their copies.

English Proficiency Certificate (B2 or above).

Independent Researcher (Part-time D.Sc.) Applicants:

Statement.
CV.
Copy of the work book (employee record book), certified in the prescribed manner.
Copy of the diploma of a Candidate of Science, Ph.D., or an equivalent degree obtained abroad.
List of published scientific articles and their copies.
Recommendation(s) from employer/head/supervisors.

English Proficiency Certificate (B2 or above).

For priority specialties, candidates for D.Sc. programmes are required to present and defend a research project before the Admission Panel, from November 5 to 25, in English.
For non-priority specialties, applicants for D.Sc. programmes must attend an interview conducted by the Admission Panel, from November 5 to 25, in English.
The results of enrollment are announced by December 5.
The study period begins in January of the following year.

Full-time D.Sc.: Applications are accepted from from September 15 to October 15 each year.
