DSc Programmes

New Uzbekistan University offers Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) programmes in the following disciplines. These programmes comply with local Uzbek requirements and can be pursued either full-time or part-time as an independent researcher.

01.03.02 - Space Physics and Astrophysics
01.04.02 - Theoretical Physics
01.01.06 – Algebra
05.01.07 - Mathematical modeling. A set of numerical methods and programs
01.04.05 – Optics
03.00.04 - Microbiology and Virology

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Hold a Ph.D., Candidate of Science, or an equivalent scientific degree obtained from an international higher education institution.
Demonstrate significant scientific achievements after obtaining a Ph.D. or Candidate of Science degree, including:
At least three scientific articles published in scientific journals.
At least two abstracts published in scientific conference proceedings or other scientific collections.

Full-time Applicants:

Statement.
CV.
Copy of the work book (employee record book), certified in the prescribed manner (for working applicants).
Copy of the diploma of a Candidate of Science, Ph.D., or an equivalent degree obtained abroad.
Scientific report on the research topic and a detailed draft of the dissertation plan.
List of published scientific articles and their copies.

English Proficiency Certificate (B2 or above).

Independent Researcher (Part-time D.Sc.) Applicants:

Statement.
CV.
Copy of the work book (employee record book), certified in the prescribed manner.
Copy of the diploma of a Candidate of Science, Ph.D., or an equivalent degree obtained abroad.
List of published scientific articles and their copies.
Recommendation(s) from employer/head/supervisors.

English Proficiency Certificate (B2 or above).

Applicants for D.Sc. programmes must attend an interview conducted by the Admission Panel from November 5 to 25.
The results of enrollment are announced by December 5.
The study period begins in January of the following year.

Full-time D.Sc.: Applications are accepted from from September 15 to October 15 each year.
