The first-ever graduation ceremony of New Uzbekistan University took place at the New Uzbekistan Park in Tashkent — a historic milestone in the university’s journey.

During the ceremony, diplomas were awarded to the university’s 129 inaugural graduates from the fields of Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Chemical & Materials Engineering.

In addition to their diplomas, the Top 10 graduates received the President’s Gift — a special commemorative award featuring the portrait and signature of the Head of State, symbolizing the nation’s trust and pride in its brightest youth.

Employment and Postgraduate Success

To date, 96 graduates have secured full-time employment:
27% are working in government institutions.
73% are employed in the private sector.
More than 20 graduates have been admitted to Master’s programs. Among them:
Two were awarded full scholarships at Cranfield University (UK) and Tampere University (Finland).

Two won the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation’s 2025 Open Scholarship Competition, earning the right to study at Queen Mary University of London (UK) and Boston University (USA).

Career Pathways

Graduates of NewUU are now contributing their skills at leading national and international organizations, including:
Epam Systems, Cybersecurity Center, Science and Olympiad Center, Al-Khwarizmi University, Ucell, MobiUz, Payme, Ipoteka Bank, O‘zsanoatqurilishbank, O‘zmilliybank, Ipak Yuli Bank, Business Development Bank, Anglesey Food (Kozinka.uz), TBC Bank, and others.

Startups and Innovation

Several graduates have chosen the path of innovation and entrepreneurship:
Four are pursuing careers in startups and research institutes.

Notably, Nurislombek Mahkamjonkhojizoda, a Software Engineering graduate, founded the startup “Oygul”, which won 1st place at the President Tech Award, receiving a $100,000 prize to launch the project commercially.

The event stands as a testament to the university’s contribution to shaping the next generation of leaders and innovators for Uzbekistan and beyond.
