Message from the President of New Uzbekistan University

Dear students, parents, partners, and friends of New Uzbekistan University,

It is a great honor to serve as President of New Uzbekistan University - an institution that not only delivers world-class academic programs and research initiatives, but also carries a national mission to transform the education and research ecosystem of Uzbekistan.

As the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has rightly stated, New Uzbekistan University is a flagship institution of a new generation - built for breakthroughs and built for the future.

New Uzbekistan University is a place for the most talented young minds of our nation. Our highly selective admissions process identifies true potential, intellectual curiosity, leadership capacity, and a readiness to shape the future. Our students represent the intellectual elite of Uzbekistan, and I can confidently say: no other university in the country brings together such a concentration of gifted, driven, and ambitious youth.

This status is recognized at the highest level. According to the Presidential Decree of May 15, 2025, graduates of New Uzbekistan University - alongside graduates of Presidential Schools and recipients of the “El-yurt umidi” scholarship - are officially included in the Presidential Community for Supporting Gifted Youth. This is not merely an honor; it is a national responsibility and a symbol of trust.

Our faculty represents excellence from around the world - scholars and experts from 26 countries. This is more than an international team; it is a community of world-class professionals who teach, inspire, and expand the horizons of our students. They are educators who ignite minds and shape future leaders.

New Uzbekistan University is the only university in the country with its own internal grant system that funds both faculty-led and student-led research projects - a unique model supporting academic freedom, creativity, and discovery.

Our ambition extends beyond national borders. We aim to become a flagship university not only for Uzbekistan, but for the entire Central Asian region. That is why New Uzbekistan University is being developed in strategic partnership with leading global institutions such as the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the University of Cambridge, and the Technical University of Munich (TUM). These partnerships form the foundation for building the future.
