Across the entire country, computer science teachers are being trained in artificial intelligence

At New Uzbekistan University, an event was held to mark the completion of the first stage of a project aimed at developing the professional skills of school computer science teachers and preparing them as mentors. The project is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Preschool and School Education and is based on the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s AI education program.

During the event, 100 computer science teachers who successfully completed the first stage of the program were awarded special certificates.

Over the course of the project, a total of 1,400 computer science teachers from 14 regions of the country are expected to take part in professional development courses at New Uzbekistan University in stages.

In the future, these teachers will use a “cascade” method to pass on the AI knowledge and skills they’ve acquired to colleagues in their respective regions.
