This job description defines the job responsibilities of the Chief Specialist of the Media Relations Department of “New Uzbekistan” University. The following are the main responsibilities of the Chief Specialist of the Media Relations Department:
– Implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees, resolutions and orders of the President, resolutions of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of education and personnel training, resolutions of the University Council and orders of the rector of the university;
– Direct submission to the head of the department, timely fulfillment of the instructions given by him;
– Implementation and control of relevant work to improve the business reputation of the university;
– To provide the general public with objective, high-quality and timely information about the activities of the university, its regulatory and legal documents in the field;
– To cooperate with the mass media (hereinafter referred to as the media), to form a circle of journalists who work together on a permanent basis, to disseminate information messages, to organize public events at the university;
– To promptly place and timely update information on the official website of the university, to develop web resources on the Internet, including social and mobile networks;
– To prepare news, information and information materials, comments and information and analytical materials for distribution in national and foreign media, together with the designated employees of the departments of the university;
– To analyze the state of public opinion and the position of the media regarding the activities of the university and to inform the rector of the university about them;
– To form and maintain a data bank of text, photo, audio and video materials related to the field of activity of the university;
– Publishes information in the media, including the Internet, as well as ensures their placement and updating on publicly accessible pages and networks on websites;
– Organizes and conducts events (meetings, gatherings, meetings, press conferences, briefings, seminars, round tables, etc.) with the participation of university leaders;
– Prepares printed materials on issues related to the activities of the university and organizes television and radio broadcasts;
– Ensures the archiving of materials covering the activities of the university for their storage in accordance with the established procedure;
– Prepares photo, audio and video materials on the activities of the university and cooperates with state and non-state media in the process of their preparation;
– Follows the rules and standards of labor protection and technical safety, industrial sanitation, and fire safety;
– Follows the regulations of the department and these job descriptions;
– Ensure the implementation of the tasks and functions assigned to the department;
– Organize production and management within their competence, comply with the principles of labor legislation and the rules of internal labor procedures;
– Know the production and organizational structure of the university;
– Know the basics of business administration;
– Have the basics of working on a personal computer and the skills to use modern ICT tools;
– Follow the procedure for working with information whose access is limited in accordance with the legislation;
– Establish cooperation with relevant departments and departments on industry-related issues;
– Obtain information, documents and materials necessary for the development of draft legal and regulatory documents in the industry in accordance with the established procedure;
– Participate in seminars, meetings and conferences organized locally in their field;
– Use working time productively;
– Perform other duties in accordance with the distribution of duties;
– Ensuring compliance with and adherence to the University Charter, internal regulations, rules of etiquette, and dress code requirements.
