Role Overview:
Support the Head of the Research Department in coordinating and advancing the university’s research strategy, fostering innovation, and strengthening collaborations with national and international partners. The role focuses on enhancing the quality, visibility, and impact of the university’s research output across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate university-wide research programs, grant applications, and scientific projects;
Facilitate collaborations between faculty, research centers, and external institutions;
Oversee research performance monitoring, reporting, and compliance with academic standards;
Assist in organizing scientific conferences, seminars, and publication initiatives;
Support early-career researchers and graduate students in research development and grant writing;
Promote interdisciplinary and applied research aligned with national priorities (e.g., Uzbekistan–2030, international cooperation programs);
Contribute to the development of institutional policies for research ethics, intellectual property, and data management.
Qualifications & Skills:
Master’s or PhD degree in a relevant academic field (science, engineering, social sciences, etc.);
Proven experience in research management, academic administration, or project coordination;
Strong understanding of national and international research funding mechanisms;
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills;
Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, government bodies, and international partners;
Proficiency in English, Uzbek, and Russian.
